Take advantage of World Health Day and invite friends to learn about how they can make a difference in a country that has the highest infant and maternal mortality rate in the world.
 
Then enjoy your own health by have a delicious dinner!

Celebrate Tax Day by remembering the abundance of your earnings in 2008 that allowed you to pay taxes in the first place and decide to share some more of the abundance by hosting a "Dinner to Make a Difference".

To host your own Dinner to Make a Difference©:

 

1.       E-mail Nancy Peddle at nancy@LemonAidFund.org for any questions and to let us know you are committing to host a “Dinner to Make a Difference©

2.       Search the site for what you need for your “Dinner to Make a Difference©

a.       a 501 (c) 3 tax letter and solicitation letter so you can solicit local merchants for food, wine, paper goods and or gift prizes (request). 

3.       Decide on the type and theme and the type of the event (could be 1 or more of the following):

a.       one-time event that invites people to come with an appetite and a check book

b.       the progressive dinner party concept

c.       once bi-monthly concept or the dinner that is different AND can make a difference! Share dinner and wine with friends every other month at the home of a "party member," where you will enjoy each other’s company and contribute the price of an average dinner out to cause.

d.      family oriented

e.     theme oriented (see attached list of potential themes)

f.      with 4 or 5 friends, host a a spaghetti dinner at a church or union hall (or other big room with a large kitchen). Charge a per person and feed a large group of people. You can charge extra for wine or garlic bread or for dessert.

g.   host a fancy dinner at your home or a regular dinner at someone's fancy home. Serve unusual or gourmet food, or have special entertainment. Charge $25 or more per person, and have 20 or more guests (or just ask them to bring their check books).

h.     host a Wine and Cheese Party. Do not charge admission (try to get your food and drinks donated) and invite as many people as you can. During the party, give a short talk about LemonAid Fund, and ask everyone to consider a gift of $25, $50, or $100 or more. Either pass out envelopes and ask people to give then, or after the party contact everyone individually who came and ask for a major gift. Indicate that you have given, and if appropriate, how much you have given.

i.   start a Chain Dinner. Invite 12 people and charge $20 then get 2 people of the 12 to host dinners for 12 people each and so on.
