Caryn Fields

|
| Caryn Fields at the Dele Preperatory School (Sierra Leone) |
Caryn is a member of the Colgate University class of 2008. With a concentration in social justice, she is double majoring
in Peace and Conflict Studies and Religion. Upon graduation, she hopes to work in the field of human rights to bring the
dream of peace one step closer to the eyes of children.
In the summer of 2005 Caryn worked on the "Mile of Peace" project to educate and spread the hope of peace to
children all around to world through artwork. In the summer of 2006 she brought those skills to the children of Sierra Leone
while spending 8 weeks with LemonAid Fund.
During the school year she is enjoying college life and keeping herself busy; skiing, snowboarding, giving tours, part
of the student Senate, teaching a freshman leadership group (GATE 101), volunteering around the community and more. She returned
to Sierra Leone in the summer of 2007 bringing her gifts through working with a for profit company DCS.

Pere Garlinghouse

Pere will graduate from The George Washington University in May of 2008 with a Bachelors of Arts. He is completing his degree
in International Affairs at GW's Elliott School of International Affairs where he is concentrating in both International Politics
and International Development; he is also obtaining a minor in History. While working for the LemonAid Fund in the Fall of
2007 he championed a variety of projects to increase the organization's scope and development in Sierra Leone.
In addition to his contributions to the day to day operations of the LemonAid Fund, Pere contributed heavily to the formation
and organization of a national group aimed at addressing the growing problem created by FGM in Sierra Leone. Pere's business
development and marketing strategy experience proved useful in transitioning from work with the LemonAid fun to his current
work in the area of public relations. He is excited to return to Sierra Leone in the future and will continue to support the
organization from the US.
