Our Programs

1,LemonAid Fund has a proven track record since 1999 in working directly with educators and social entrepreneurs to implement needed projects in Sierra Leone and globally. The accomplishments of the LemonAid Fund in Sierra Leone include support for the construction of 14 schools (including the Ceres Foundation Library Project); increasing the educational resources available to a network of twelve schools and two foster care centers; partnering with Luther College and Stanford University on our Forgiveness Project using evidence-based research in training for over 2,000 adults and 3000 students; creating one of Sierra Leone’s few school libraries/resource center; partnering with World Computer Exchange and RESPECT to bring two hundred computers to ten schools and youth groups; and bringing psychosocial support to children through network partners such as Mission4Salone and Social Workers Sierra Leone.
Additionally, due to LemonAid Fund’s support, over two thousand children have accessed quality education yearly, forty children are currently direct beneficiaries of scholarships and over twenty people have received micro-loans or micro-enterprise start-ups. LemonAid Fund has also worked closely with the Government of Sierra Leone and UNICEF on early childhood education, life skills training, and prevention of HIV/AIDS’s and child protection initiatives. Additionally, we are working with the Forum Against Harmful Practices (FAHP) representing 20 organizations to help stop Harmful Traditional Practices (HTPs), especially Female Genital Mutilation (FGM). Our most recent efforts have successfully linked The Chicago School of Professional Psychology to LemonAid Funds Forgiveness, Gratitude and Appreciation Psychosocial work globally.
